Jon Duarte begins his tenure this week as president and CEO of Overlake Medical Center & Clinics and CEO of MultiCare Health System's new North Sound Region.
Duarte joined Overlake in 2014 as director of strategy and was appointed chief strategy officer in 2018. He has overseen the expansion of clinical partnerships and specialty programs that resulted in unprecedented growth for the organization. He guided the recent affiliation with MultiCare Health System, which strengthens the organizations’ long-term commitment to deliver the highest quality, most advanced healthcare to communities across Washington state.
“It’s a tremendous privilege to lead and serve this outstanding organization,” Duarte says. “What began as a community movement to serve Bellevue’s basic healthcare needs is now a health system that delivers some of the most advanced, high-quality care in the Puget Sound region—to 200,000 individuals each year. The work our teams do every day changes our patients’ lives for the better.”
Duarte officially assumed his new on role Jan. 18, 2025, following the retirement of former Overlake president and CEO J. Michael Marsh on Jan. 17, 2025.
