Waiting Areas

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to COVID-19, our hospital visitor policy has been temporarily modified. Please see our visitor policy page for the most recent information.

Resources and support were thoughtfully designed in new waiting areas with comfort in mind. There are facilities for connecting to the Internet, reading, writing, even sleeping.

We also have patient and family-friendly library resources to research medical conditions. The library is located on the lower level of Building 3 (Overlake Medical Tower) and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

There are waiting rooms located in the following areas:

Building 1 (East Tower & South Tower)

• Level 1  
  • South Main Lobby: Located near the East Tower near the Building 1 elevator lobby.
  • Emergency Department: Located next to the ER reception desk in the South Tower near the Building 1 elevator lobby.
• Level 2  
  • Childbirth Center: Take Building 1 elevators to the second floor. Exit left toward the Labor & Delivery reception desk. The waiting area is located to the right.
• Level 3  
  • Critical Care: Take the elevator to the third floor. The elevator opens in to a waiting lobby.
• Level 4
  • Elevator opens into central waiting lobby for the floor. There is an additional waiting area on your left as you exit the elevator. 
• Level 5
  • Elevator opens into central waiting lobby for the floor.

Building 2 (West Tower)

• Level 1
  • Medical Imaging: Located off the hallway next to the Medical Imaging reception desk.
• Level 2  
  • Chapel & Meditation Room
  • Main Surgery Waiting Area
• Level 3
  • West 3: Take the elevator to the third floor. Turn left to head toward the waiting area.
• Level 4
  • West 4: Take the elevator to the fourth floor. Turn left to head toward the waiting area which will be located on the left-hand side.

Building 3 (Overlake Medical Tower)

• Level 1
  • North Campus Main Lobby.
  • North Lounge: Located on the main corridor between the Garage 3 elevators and the North Main Lobby.

Building 4 (PACCAR)

• Level 1
  • Outpatient Surgery: Take the Garage 4 elevators to the first floor. The waiting area is located outside reception desk.
