Overlake Medical Center Foundation hosts 62nd annual Bandage Ball fundraiser

Bellevue, Wash. – Overlake Medical Center Foundation is hosting its 62nd annual Bandage Ball May 1–8. While in-person gatherings remain limited, the weeklong, Teams-free, Zoom-free virtual experience offers a fresh alternative to the hospital’s traditional fundraising gala.

Overlake has created a 15-minute immersive storytelling experience that includes three video stories of Overlake’s impact on the community, an online auction and opportunities to give.

Local television personality Chris Cashman will welcome guests to the site in a very non-traditional way. Items up for bid include a six-month membership to The Shop Seattle, an exotic car club, a variety of high-end wines, and a five-course dinner for four by acclaimed Seattle chef Shota Nakajima, who has been featured on television shows Beat Bobby Flay and Top Chef.

“We believe this unique format will appeal to those who want to join in support of Overlake, but on their own terms”, said Chief Development Officer Molly Stearns.

All proceeds from Bandage Ball will help Overlake Medical Center & Clinics continue to provide world-class care for our patients and community. First held in 1960 to celebrate the opening of Overlake Hospital, Bandage Ball has raised more than $6 million in the last five years.
