Bellevue, Wash. – Overlake Medical Center & Clinics today announced the April 29, 2019, opening of its urgent and primary care clinics in Newcastle, making it Overlake’s sixth urgent care clinic and 11th primary care clinic on the Eastside. The clinics are co-located in Newcastle Commons, along Coal Creek Parkway within a mix of restaurants and retail. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house will take place Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 9 a.m. – noon.

Ranked by Money magazine on a list of, “Best Places to Live,” Newcastle’s growing population now exceeds 12,000 residents. In the last five years, nearly 30 percent of the city’s residents have received care at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics.

“We strive to provide the highest-quality, affordable healthcare at locations that are most convenient for our patients,” said Overlake CEO J. Michael Marsh. “We look forward to forging even deeper ties with Newcastle’s families and supporting this healthy, growing community.”

A community that is served by two school districts, Issaquah and Renton, Newcastle is known locally for its access to Cougar Mountain hiking trails and a world-class golf course, The Golf Club at Newcastle. Newcastle City Manager Rob Wyman says the clinic’s ability to offer convenient care is a benefit not just to city residents, but to all who visit the area. “After going nearly two years without an urgent care clinic, Overlake is stepping up to bring this critical medical option back to Newcastle, offering peace of mind to all who might require sudden, immediate attention,” said Wyman.

Overlake’s urgent care clinics treat all patients age two years and up, with no appointment needed. As with Overlake’s other urgent care locations in downtown Bellevue, Issaquah, Lake Hills, Redmond and Sammamish, board-certified providers offer a range of services from onsite X-ray and onsite laboratory services to managing intravenous fluids and injectable medications. Common illness and injuries requiring urgent care attention include orthopedic injuries, influenza, lacerations, burns and treatment of allergic reactions.
