Overlake Recognized for Outstanding Executive 2018 by Seattle Business Magazine

Bellevue, Wash. – Overlake Medical Center announced that President and CEO J. Michael Marsh was selected as a Seattle Business magazine Outstanding Medical Center Executive for Puget Sound. The award was announced at the Leaders in Health Care Awards gala March 1 at Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle.

Marsh was recognized at the event for his leadership in achieving results in patient safety and clinical quality, staff engagement and community partnerships. “In this time of great turmoil in the health care industry, it’s more important than ever to recognize the institutions and individuals who are doing so much to make Washington state among the best places in the nation to receive health care,” said Leslie Helm, executive editor of Seattle Business.

At the awards gala, Marsh said he was fortunate to work every day with the nearly 3,000 caregivers and support staff at Overlake. “These are the hardest working, most professional and compassionate people I have had the honor to work with,” said Marsh. With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare leadership, Marsh’s long time passion for healthcare innovation, clinical excellence and culture of engagement among providers and staff has transformed the Eastside’s health landscape. “I am excited about the future, excited about Overlake and appreciate this recognition reflecting the talent of our team.”

Seattle Business’ annual Leaders in Health Care Awards honor organizations and individuals who inspire leading-edge work in a variety of healthcare disciplines and geographical regions within Washington state. This was the 10th annual awards program.
