Overlake Opens New Sammamish Primary Care Clinic

Sammamish, Wash. – Overlake Clinics opens its new primary care clinic in Sammamish today, offering patients a convenient location within of mix of retail such as Metropolitan Market, Chipotle and other businesses. At the ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, November 18, 2017, Sammamish Mayor Bob Keller welcomed the clinic and its high-quality team of providers. “It’s a great thing for the residents of this city to be taken care of right here where we live,” said Keller.

Overlake President and CEO J. Michael Marsh told the crowd at the event that nearly 17,000 Sammamish residents were treated at other Overlake Medical Clinics last year, such as Issaquah and Redmond, and that the opening of this East King County location fit Overlake’s mission to go where the community has needs. “With the enormous growth of this area, and patients’ desire to avoid gridlock, we are excited that our high quality primary care team can support this vibrant community,” said Marsh.

About 75 residents from the community attended the clinic’s open house on Saturday. They had an opportunity to meet the providers as well as get blood pressure, cholesterol and other health screenings and consultations. The clinic’s team will be led by family practice physicians Paige Kasai, MD, and Jessica McHugh, MD, both of whom reside in the community. “It is an honor to be a family doctor, to be able to share lasting relationships with multiple generations of families,” said Kasai. “There is nothing more fulfilling than partnering with patients to prevent illness and help keep families healthy,” added McHugh.

This is Overlake’s 10th primary care clinic. Additionally, Overlake will open an urgent care clinic in the same Village at Sammamish location in January 2018. The center will offer a wide range of services from X-ray and laboratory services to managing intravenous fluids and injectable medications. Common illness and injuries requiring urgent care services include influenza, colds and other infections, orthopedic injuries, lacerations, burns and treatment of allergic reactions.
