Overlake to Participate in Unique ‘Reverse Pitch’ Event for Tech Start-Ups
Bellevue, Wash. – Overlake Medical Center will be participating in a unique health technology project Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. at the Cambia Grove collaborative think tank space in Seattle. During the event, members of Overlake’s leadership team Dr. Dennis Rochier, CEO of Overlake Clinics, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Knoepfler, will be presenting real-life Overlake business challenges faced by doctors and patients to dozens of health care startups from all over the world. The scenarios are shared with the startups, and the most innovative solutions will be given the opportunity to land a paid pilot project to solve the challenge.
The event is one of a series of ‘Reverse Pitch’ events hosted by Cambia Grove that have successfully brought together enterprise decision-makers in the health care sector with the startup and entrepreneur community to share ideas and work toward innovative technological solutions.
As an anchor partner with Cambia Grove, Overlake Medical Center is committed to working with Cambia’s vast network of innovators on pilot programs such as this to solve some of the health care industry’s most pressing challenges.
At the event Overlake will be presenting the following real-life challenges:
- What tools can help Overlake improve patient access to care, providing patients with real-time insight into availability across the organization including primary care, urgent care, the ER and more?
- What solutions can help patients navigate the economic (insurance, payment, billing), logistical (referrals, testing, authorizations, medical records) and cultural complexities (reflecting the diversity of our patient population) of the Overlake system?
- Additionally, Tom DeBord, Overlake’s chief operating officer, will participate in a C-suite level panel discussion focusing on the intersection of hospitals, startups and venture capitalists in health care.
