Overlake Medical Center Welcomes New Physicians
Bellevue, Wash. – In the past six months, Overlake Medical Center has welcomed several new specialists to its team of providers caring for the rapidly growing Eastside community.
- Teresa Pliskowski, MD joined Overlake Clinics - Urgent Care team in January. Dr. Pliskowski is board certified by the National Board of Family Medicine. She specializes in family practice and primary care and received her education from State University of New York Upstate Medical University. She completed her residency and interned in Family Medicine at Group Health Cooperative.
- Sue Dillon, DO also joined Overlake Clinics - Urgent Care team in January. Dr. Dillon is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She specializes in family practice and received her education from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. She completed her residency and interned in Family Practice at St. Luke’s Medical Center.
- Johnette Crawford, MD will rejoin Overlake Clinics - Urgent Care starting Monday, August 10. Dr. Crawford is board certified in Family Practice. She received her education from Creighton University’s Medical School and completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Minnesota.
- Maria Mercado, MD joins Overlake Medical Center as an endocrinology specialist starting Monday, July 13. Dr. Mercado specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism and received her education from the University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine and Surgery. She completed her residency at the UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Princeton Medical Center. Dr. Mercado completed her fellowship at the University of Maryland VAMC Baltimore. Dr. Mercado will practice in the clinic within our primary clinic on hospital campus.
- Michael Vier, MD joined Overlake Medical Center as a hospitalist. He is one member of a team of hospitalists who help take care of medical patients who are admitted to Overlake Medical Center. Dr. Vier is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his residency and interned in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital in Ohio.
- Antonio Avila, MD joined Overlake Medical Center in January, in the outpatient psychiatric services clinic. Dr. Avila is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minnesota. Dr. Avila completed his fellowship in psychiatry and addiction at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis. From 2006 to 2007, Dr. Avila also interned in psychiatry at Hennepin County Medical Center.
- William Pierson, MD joins Overlake Medical Center‘s psychiatric services department. Dr. Pierson received his doctor of medicine from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
