Overlake Medical Center Signs Network Agreement with Humana

Bellevue, Wash. – Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), one of the nation’s leading health and well-being companies, announced today that members will now have in-network benefit access to the inpatient, outpatient and emergency services provided by Overlake Medical Center.

The agreement includes covered access for members of Humana’s Medicare Advantage Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and Medicare Advantage Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). Humana is one of Washington’s leading health and well-being companies with more than 100,000 Medicare Advantage, commercial and specialty benefit members.

Overlake Medical Center is a 349-bed, nonprofit regional medical center offering a comprehensive range of advanced inpatient and outpatient medical services to the Puget Sound Region. Health services include the first Level III emergency and trauma center on the Eastside, a cardiac center, a cancer center, surgical services and a women’s and infant’s center. Celebrating more than 50 years of service to the community, the hospital has more than 1,000 active and courtesy physicians on staff and employs over 2,600 people.

Overlake was also rated in the top five percent for patient safety—five years in a row—by Healthgrades. In addition, the Joint Commission recognized Overlake as a 2012 Top Performer—the only hospital in the Puget Sound region to receive the award.
