Anesthesia Care
Anesthesia is medicine used during surgery so you don’t feel pain. Depending on the procedure you’re having, you may receive local anesthesia (which numbs just one part of the body), or general anesthesia (which puts you in a sleep-like state).

Anticoagulation and Medication Management Clinic
Some people may need to change the medications they take before having surgery. This is often true for people who take blood-thinning medications. Our team will work with you to go through the medications you are currently taking and explain if, when and how to make any changes.

Ostomy Services
An ostomy allows waste to leave the body through a surgically-created opening in the abdomen. This is a treatment for some urinary and digestive problems. Our ostomy nurses have deep experience and special training in helping people have the knowledge, supplies and follow-up care needed to live with an ostomy.

Rehabilitation Care
You may need or benefit from rehabilitation care or “rehab” after surgery. This type of care focuses on helping you get stronger, move better and/or improve certain functions like swallowing or speaking. Rehabilitation care includes:
- Physical therapy to strengthen your muscles and improve your mobility.
- Occupational therapy to help you get back to your daily routine and implement changes that might make your usual activities easier or more comfortable after your surgery.
- Speech therapy to help if you’ve had procedures that affect your speech or swallowing.
