Are you tired of making annual weight loss resolutions at the start of every New Year? It may be time to explore bariatric surgery—a safe, proven and effective treatment option with lasting results. Research continues to illustrate the effectiveness of bariatric surgery (or weight loss surgery) on long-term weight management. It can also resolve or improve obesity-related diseases and conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and sleep apnea.

Why choose Overlake’s bariatric surgery program?

As the most comprehensive surgical and medically monitored weight loss program in the Puget Sound region, Overlake combines nutritional and behavioral consultations, as well as a support group facilitated by the program dietitian, behavioral therapist and nurse manager, to ensure patients incorporate the healthy lifestyle changes that are critical to their success.

The Overlake Bariatric Surgery Program has received a five-star rating from Healthgrades for eight years. During this time, we have also been a five-time recipient of the Healthgrades Bariatric Surgery Excellence Award. This Excellence award recognizes the program as among the top 10% of hospitals evaluated in the nation. In 2022, our program was the only hospital in Washington state to achieve the Bariatric Surgery Excellence Award.
