Seen on FOX 13: The Importance of Breastfeeding, Colostrum Collection

Aug. 1 marked the beginning of National Breastfeeding Month and World Breastfeeding Week—both serving as opportunities to advocate for and promote breastfeeding, as well as bring to light some of the barriers new parents face in their breastfeeding journeys.

In recognition of the month/week, Taylor Basinger, an RN from Overlake’s Childbirth Center, spoke this morning on FOX 13’s Good Day Seattle to discuss the importance of breastfeeding and colostrum collection, often referred to as “liquid gold.”
