Community Health Needs Assessment
Every three years, Overlake Medical Center conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to identify and address the most pressing health concerns in our region. This assessment guides our efforts to give back through healthcare services, community programs, and strategic partnerships that support unmet needs.

Community Sponsorships
As part of our commitment to community health and well-being, Overlake Medical Center supports a variety of local initiatives through sponsorships and event participation. Each proposal is carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with our mission and strategic priorities.
While we value every opportunity to support our community, we receive a high volume of requests and must thoughtfully allocate our resources. Sponsorship decisions are guided by the following criteria:
Types of Sponsorships We Support & Evaluation Criteria
To be considered for sponsorship, organizations must meet the following requirements:
- Nonprofit Status: Must be a registered 501(c)(3) or a nonprofit civic organization focused on community benefit.
- Service Area: Must operate within our Eastside service area, including Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Newcastle, North Bend, Redmond, and Sammamish.
- Mission Alignment: Must address one or more priority areas identified in our Community Health Needs Assessment:
- Access to health care and health inequities
- Chronic disease (including Cancer)
- Housing and homelessness
- Mental health and substance use
- Brand Alignment: Must support and enhance the positive reputation of Overlake Medical Center & Clinics.
- Collaborative Potential: Must offer opportunities to leverage Overlake’s expertise and resources.
Note: Requests for civic events such as walks, runs, or races must include a connection to an Overlake Medical Center & Clinics employee.
Overlake Medical Center will not provide funding for:
- Events outside the Overlake Medical Center and Clinics service area.
- Donations or support to general appeal campaigns, endowments or memorials.
- Requests that benefit an individual or family.
- Local sporting teams and events or travel expenses.
- Religious activities for furthering religious doctrine.
- General awareness campaigns.
- Door prizes or raffles.
- School-affiliated orchestras, bands, choirs, drama groups, yearbooks, class parties, sports, class/ team projects or travel.
- Political candidates, activities or organizations.
- Personal appeals for funding of individual medical care, insurance coverage for individuals, scholarships, tuition, educational expenses, conference registration, etc.
- National conferences.
- Pageants.
- Advertising activities.
- Organizations that do not comply with Overlake Medical Center’s anti-discriminatory policy.
Application Process & Timing
Overlake Medical Center & Clinics plans its community investments on a fiscal year cycle, running from July 1 through June 30. We accept sponsorship applications up to 12 months in advance, and are currently reviewing proposals for Fiscal Year 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027).
To ensure adequate review time, all requests must be submitted at least 120 days prior to the scheduled event date. Applications must be submitted through our online Corporate Sponsorship Application Form to be considered. Submissions via phone, fax, mail, email, or hand delivery will not be accepted or acknowledged due to the volume of requests we receive.

Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. All proposals are reviewed through a multi-step evaluation process. Applicants will receive an update on the status of their request within 4–6 weeks of submission.
Community Resources
At Overlake, we are committed to supporting your health and well-being beyond your medical care.
